- NotesKimi is a note-taking extension. Its purpose is to help you save and manage notes while browsing.
- You can use NotesKimi without an account in guest mode. In guest mode, your notes and settings are stored locally on your device.

You control the content of your notes. NotesKimi does not create note content on your behalf without your action.

Google Sign-In is handled through Chrome’s identity API and Firebase Authentication.

NotesKimi does not store your password locally on your device.

7. Guest Mode and Cloud Sync
Guest Mode
You may use NotesKimi without creating an account. In guest mode:

- No cloud account is required
- Your data remains on your device unless you later choose to sign in
Cloud Sync
Cloud synchronization is optional and requires sign-in. If you sign in:
- Your notes and account-related data may be stored in Google Firebase Firestore
- Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication
- Cloud sync allows you to access your notes across devices linked to the same account
- You may stop cloud sync by signing out of your account
8. Website and Page Access
NotesKimi requests access to webpages you visit so it can:
- Display a floating note button on supported pages
- Open the NotesKimi sidebar
- Enable page-specific note creation and organization
- Read the active tab’s URL and title when needed to associate a note with a page
NotesKimi does not read, collect, or transmit full webpage content unless you explicitly save that information as part of a note.
The Extension does not inject note-taking UI on Chrome Web Store pages.
9. Chrome Permissions We Request
NotesKimi requests the following Chrome permissions to provide its features:
